He was also awarded Bank-Bima Award-2007 for his outstanding contribution to Islamic Insurance.

Mr. S. M. Jasim Uddin Ahammed obtained Masters Degree with honours from Rajshahi University in 1982 and stood 1^st & 6^th position in Master & Honours in order of Merit. After completion of education he joined a specialized Bank (Grameen Bank) as an Admin Officer in the year 1985 and served up to 1998 and held different important positions at Head Office, Zonal Office, Area Office and Asst. Project Director of Southern Agricultural Project (A sister concern of Grameen Bank). After that he joined in HAMKO Group as Manager Admin (HRM) & Manager MD & CEO Secretariat and performed various important responsibilities. In the year 2002 he joined Global Insurance Ltd. as Company Secretary & VP. He was promoted to Sr. Vice- President in 2004. He is looking after the company matters, Board Secretariat and Administration Dept.. He got specialized training in various Admin related issues & Computer program form Grammen Bank & Grammen Trust.  He obtained Proficiency Certificate from 1^st United Nations general knowledge competition.
